Parody Song Title:

"Orwell"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Orwell, McLell-
an: two names that go together well.
What's that smell?

McLellan tells
Us that all is swell but dissembles,
He dissembles.

Love is hate,
Peace is war,
Leaks aren't leaks. . .
Such things he tries to say,
It's old Newspeak each day.
He says twisted words; he's blowing smoke,
It's "lexerdemain."

McLellan tells
Us that all is swell but dissembles,
He dissembles.

Crimes are law,
Lies are truth,
Truth is lies
This shmuck was no Ari;
In fact, he was scary,
So full of sh*t that all he said,
Devoid of meaning.

We'll see you.

He's gonna
Pursue new
Challenges--
Lie why he's stepping down
Bolten* said, "Boot that clown!
For untruths we need someone who can
Lie with elan."

Ax fell; McLell-
an's gone; someone new to dissemble,
Who don't mumble,
Saying twisted words and blowing smoke
Like Ministry** man
From Orwell.

Nice job, JB...when I heard McClellan resigns I thought about he and Dubyah getting together years later to reminisce about all that total BS they told the Press and by extension the American Public...what an oily, smarmy little piece of crap...yeah, Scotty, too...lol...5's ~ ~ ~

1984 did get here, but not the way GO envisioned... We did it to ourselves. Gov. snooping, Web no-privacy policies, control of personal life, and doublespeak as the standard, not just in politics (and not just in W's politics). 555, and glad to see the Barry quality is back. - TT

555 Orwell called it, but even he might have nightmares about gov snoops these days. Good work, JB

So, this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause. (From "Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith"... not from "V for Vendetta.")

I'd like to vote this, but I haven't kept up with politics too much recently (though I'm getting interested again for some strange reason), and I must be the only person here who hasn't read 1984.

DKTOS, Don't know what this refers to, and also haven't read 1984, but still liked it anyway, 555's
