Parody Song Title:

"Gazelle"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Gazelle tastes swell--
Pieces burned to float in tempting gel,
Fried gazelle.

Gazelle, très belle,
Sautés, les morceaux sont bien en sauce,
Très bien en sauce.
[Beautiful gazelle,
Sautéd piece are good in sauce]

I love ewe,
I love ewe,
I love ewe,
I'd chomp it any day.
But a gazelle filet:
Free-range taste, roaming with herds;
Herbed, so much subtler than lamb.

Gazelles excellent, [pronounced "excel"]
Sautant les moutons, biftecks, saucisses,
Biftecks, saucisses.
[Gazelles excel,
Leaping over mutton, steak, and sausages]

I'll feed soon,
I'll feed soon,
I'll feed soon,
On this beast, with no greens.
It makes the PETANs keen,
But filled with food, I tell those dudes,
Chill, go have a bean.

My lunch, due!

I want food,
I want food,
I want food
And drink--bring it right now.
Don't get me moo-chum, cow.
I'm ill from stew, bellowing, moos,
Bland chew-cudders banned!

Gazelle, très belle,
Sautés, les morceaux sont bien en sauce,
Très bien en sauce.

I will slay the roaming herd, I go
With gnu gun in hand. . .
Find gazelles.

Thanks for the translations. This translated into a good parody. PETANs was a new one by me.

I agree with Jack Fletcher: thank you for the translations. I never managed to get my tongue around 'the language of love'. The French kisses, however, is an entirely different story. [looks around at the AmIRight visitors with a lustful look in his eye] 'John', 'Alvin', 'Lionel'... It's a good thing I'm bi or I'd be starving here on this site. Pass me the gazelle's head, John. The tongue is supposed to have a great taste.
