"Yesterday"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"'quester day"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

It’s Sequester day, so all my parodies are dedicated to the goons, loons, and buffoons in D.C., but especially to the House in which reside the dumbest of the dumb and the most craven of the craven.

’quester day: Halls-wrought troubles now ain’t far away,
and it looks as though they’re here to stay.
Oh, I do grieve on ’quester day.

Sunken, we, now this ghastly plan has come to be;
a mere shadow of supremacy
now ’quester day’s come bumblingly.

Pols in D.C. blow, that we know, so sad to say.
Stumbling, bumbling throng is all wrong, thus ’quester day.

’quester day—luck we’d need for all of them to stray
to the fiscal cliff of yesterday
and take their leave the lemmings way.

Jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump. . . !

JAB - Of your fives takes today, this one shows the most "balanced approach" in allocating the blame. Be assured of one thing...even when our politics differ, I still admire your work. ;D

Great title and well said. I was looking for some sequester parodies today. Too bad we all knew this would happen; they are just playing games.
