The Lyrics
I watched Fox News today—oh boy!
No doubt it is a masterful charade.
This phony news on its face, mad.
it’s aired to make you laugh. . .
purposeful Bill O. gaffes.
It blows your mind—it’s out so far,
yet fans don’t notice that it’s quite deranged.
The clowning Fox folk go on air,
then they let the japes soar.
It’s satire simple and pure;
in contrast Colbert, Stewart bore
It’s always flim-flam day, oh joy!
Speak English or do not come to our shores—
such crowds should all be turned away.
It might come from a book
from Voltaire; I look
at cutups going on.
Stoke up the fear and dread?!
Zany roles at Fox are bred.
then they’re played on air. . .a grand send-up:
the poison cup, a faux joe—this is great!
Grouse and gloat, then gab RE: gats. . .
take away the Second, rats!
It’s so way out there. . .mirrors and smoke,
so funny, the jokes—fact-free “Factor” vents a scream.
Ha-ha-ha-ha. . . !
I watched Fox News today—they toy
with out-there tropes manifesting in sneers.
These jokesters surely have a ball
sounding so off the wall.
It is as though Swift and Pope reincarnate and then start to yawl.
I love the pure put-on.
