Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I started to poke
It’s part of that Facebook plying
But guy, friend of she
Was provoken with me, oh no

I posted a pic
I gasped as it soon went viral
Unzipped fly could be seen
Worldwide joke was on me

I tweeted a thought
Retrospect: I, shouldn’t have ought...
Rep quite quelled as it spread
Laughing their heads at things that I'd said

Then I’m hung out to dry
Which prompted lots more misgiving
Life unravelled on screen
Now to croak, would be keen...

Tried: blog in disguise
Mum and my Dad did recognize
Now my relatives plan
Shunning me and from holidays: ban

‘Til I finally tried
Unfriending that whole world-web thing
Phoned up my ISP, oh yeah
They’d seen joke, laughed at me (oh no...)
That provoked: dead PC
oh...

I never could figure out why they call it a "poke". Unzipped fly gives new meaning to your line about being hung out to dry. It's always amazing to me the number of well known people, especially politicians, who post their own inappropriate pics.

I've never poked, still don't know why anyone would want to. Now how about "Poker Face'"?

Excellent job of poking fun at the OS, as well as Facebook and Twitter! And you got my curiosity up to the extent that I did some research and found out why the front opening in slacks is called a fly, something I'd never considered before.

Posting on amiright is about the only social networking I do, though there is a video of me dancing on youtube. If anyone cares, ha, ha, I'll get you the coordinates. Just heard this morning that the Russkies are even spying on people's baby monitors and surveillance cameras. Who do they think they are--the NSA? Best solution: if you want to take those kind of pictures for your amusement or that of a significant other, Polaroid film and cameras are being made once again. Plus, there is something called a Fuji Instax. As for "poking", if it means what I think you are hinting at here, there is a store in Middlebury, Indiana that sells Amish broadfall pants, similar to old US Navy 13-button bell-bottoms. No worry about zipper malfunctions. Tell them I sent you.

Pretty Fly! ...Oh God that sounds weird given the context! 5's

Reminded me of a story from last month about one of our MPs. I don’t do Facebook or anything similar. Hadn’t heard of poke in this context so had to look it up. Good fit to the OS. Fave line was “dead PC”.
