Parody Song Title:

"Guys Started to Smoke"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Guys started to smoke as kids and then started dying,
hooked on nicotine in the smoke acrid, mean.
Guys started to die, but first they were curled up, hacking.
Kids could go to machines and buy butts easily.

So many folks died that finally were applied
some real rulings that said: “Please use your head, or you’ll be dead.”
Yet some holdouts denied that smoking would stop their living.
But they’d gone to machines as kids… know what that means:

That lots of them died, because the industry had lied
that smoking meant health; they stole lots of wealth, using sleazy stealth.
Some holdouts who denied not long thereafter stopped living.
They were gone from the scene, partly from nicotine.
So-o. Heavy-smoke, no more be.
