The Lyrics

Out in Gary..Indiana...
In the sixties,..they'd arrive
Jackie..Tito...Jermaine, and....Marlon
Plus young Michael..The Jackson Five

They played local club gigs,..'round Chicago..
Till they caught on...in those dives
"Chitlin' Circuit"..even strip joints
On their way up..they were...The Jackson Five

Made their first record, (Oh yeah)..label "Steeltown" uuh, huh
Became a big hit...and changed their lives..(Ohh)
Then a second..and a third hit...
Michael sang with..The Jackson Five..

At The Apollo..(yes, yes, yes), in New York's Harlem, doncha' know
They won the Showdown...with their talented jive..
When Motown signed...moved out to California..
Started makin' ripples, big...The Jackson Five..

And later, gigged on a tv show, yeah..Miss Black Amer'ca,
Out in "Madison Square".. appeared there live..
First Motown single..was "I Want You Back"...
Shot to number one...for The Jackson Five...

Their fame continued, (oh, yeah, yeah) to the Eighties
But their Victory tour would...be a last big drive
Michael went on...as a solo..
Phasing out...The Jackson Five..

His brothers sang on..tho' less successful..
Michael met with.scandals...fame, would take a dive
Till his tragic death from..strange...circumstances..
But mem'ries live on..for The Jackson Five

Memries won't die..for The Jackson Five

Hello friend! Wow, it's been a long time since I've been v/c-ing on the site! And I mean a very, very long time. My job had kept me extremely busy and I've been waiting for my so busy bro to get me a new keyboard for my PC. Because of that I'm missing all your awesome parodies...heck I miss everybody on AIR. Gotta love Jackson 5! I also enjoyed "The Jacksons: An American Dream" movie as well. Their songs can't be beat. But you know, "A-B-C" (is) easy as "5-5-5's!...Come on, come on let me show you what it's all about!" Enjoyed it lots!

Very clever. I suggest you have this submitted to Wikipedia as a succinct history of the Jackson 5's career.

Thanks, LCC...yeah, or maybe Kevin Spacey..did you see his "Beyond The Sea" movie?..it was a few years back.. I thought it was very entertaining, and Kevin done his own singing. Guess he even went on tour after the film opened, singing Bobby's songs. I heard one of the movie reviewers say that he thought Spacey sang better than Bobby. What did you think of the film, if you saw it? ....and thanks, Warren, for v&c and the suggestion.
