"Wails of Your Children On A Visit To Your Sister's"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

So, you're going to visit your Sister - and your Spouse bellows out lovingly to you as you are getting ready to leave: "Hey, why don't you take the kids with you this time? They haven't seen your Sister in quite a while...." You dutifully call ahead to let Dear Sister Anne know the horror that will soon be visited upon her.
(Instrumental Intro)

Why is it all your children react as if it's torture
when you want to take them with you for a visit to your Sister's

(Instrumental break)

There are troubles you foresee; whines and cries and bad behavior
They are such resistant creatures; they wail and rave and 'diss' you
You can't take it too much longer; all their screams have your ears ringing
Now they're nagging and cajoling you to stop and get some chips

(Instrumental break)

Now you hear your son's new hobby; farting sounds and rude noise
Now his underpants are yellow where the little jerk has peed
The farting smell it lingers; those brown stains, he made 'potty'
Crap now stains his skivvies; bring me tissues - any kind

(Instrumental break)

Your grimy little offspring tear cushions off the sofa
And you wish that you could spank them; send them to bed without dinner

(Instrumental break)

Her name is Ann O'Reilly and she holds her bourbon well
But you know she won't be sober 'cause she cannot stand your children
And your children all abhor her 'cause she gives them all dumb nicknames
This whole visit's a fiasco

(Instrumental break)

Whiny kids act vicious; those savage little stinkers
Didn't want to take them with you on this visit to your Sister

(Instrumental jam out to end)

John, Thanks! I gave up rather quickly on trying to come up with a short title. This one seemed to be the one I needed when I gave it a bit more thought.

You mean your sister isn't named Aphrodite? ;-)

Mer - Actually, she IS, but Mom & Dad didn't spell all that well. Bet you think my name is actually pronounced like "Paul"...

Alvin - thanks! Glad you liked it. I've found that Cream's songs are kinda fun to do. However, I've pretty much covered most of my favorite ones right now. But I plan to scrounge more deeply through their catalogue and see if I can find some more of theirs I can work with...

Paul Robinson - March 15, 2005 - Report this comment
Mer - Jeez, I never answered that July 26th remark. "Pressed Rat" and "Warthog"...??? are you kidding? No??? I'll have to listen to them, I don't even remember how they go...
