The Lyrics

Hi Phil.
HARPOON RISING

At sea, a harpoon arising
At sea, that Captain Ahab guy
At sea, that Pequod I'm despising
At sea, someone will die
Don’t hunt me tonight
I’m bound to take your life
There’s white whale on the rise

You read that Melville guy’s creation
Most of that book is quite a bore
Bad time to be a big cetacean
Good time to blubber from the gore
Don’t poke me I beg
I’m bound to take your leg
There’s white whale on the rise

I hope you got your crib notes ready
I hope you’re watching Greg’ry Peck
That old book’s sales are sure steady
For something that is long as heck
Don’t stab me tonight
I’ll take you for a ride
There’s white whale on the tide
There’s white whale on the tide
There’s white whale on the tide

I've done the Moby topic six times now, so I can definitely appreciate what you've done here. So call me, Ishmael. I'm in area code (555)

Yeah, Melville certainly had something to say, but it sure bored the tears out of this old man when he was 16. Movie worked better for me. Nice work, Rick.

Well Paul, that's why I think reducing the plot line of "Moby Dick" into a cheesy pop song is comic gold. It's a kind of revenge on our high school English teachers for afflicting our tender young minds with that ponderous tome
