The Lyrics

In the final episode of Star Trek Voyager, an aging Captain Janeway travelled back in time, teamed up with her younger self and changed the course of the ship to save the life of numerous crewmen, including Seven of Nine who was about to die. This song takes place during those events and it's supposed to be sung by Chakotay to Seven of Nine when they are alone.
Bet you're pondering how I feel
'Bout her plans to cop a feel
from one of your queens that she's fought before
Between the two of her ways a third I'm wishing for
It came as a surprise, you could say
That'll marry you someday

I heard it from old Janeway
Not much longer will we be gay
I heard it from old Janeway
Tuvok's just about to melt away
Seven, Seven, dear

You know in this fleet, we're not supposed to cry
But my spirit I can't hold inside
Loosing you would be too much, it's true
'Cause you're worth more than the crew
You'll be killed off yourself
I won't find someone else instead

I heard it from old Janeway
Not much longer will we be gay
I heard it from old Janeway
Tuvok's just about to melt away
Seven, Seven, dear

Listen babe, you say just what you mean
Na na not just to agree
I can't help being confused
If this's true, will you stand with me
It's her plan to fight the Borg
With this younger crew that she knew before

So I heard it from old Janeway
Not much longer will we be gay
I heard it from old Janeway
Tuvok's just about to melt away
Seven, Seven, dear

I heard it from old Janeway
Not much longer will we be gay
I heard it from old Janeway
Tuvok's just about to melt away
Seven, Seven, dear

Seven of Nine? She's a fine drone now, boy!

Ahh...I truly miss "Voyager" now...wasn't quite as good as "Next Generation" was, but way above the turgid current franchise entry, "Enterprise"...5's here, nice job, K-1.

Logic dictates... aw, hell, if I was interesting in logic I wouldn't be here. Resistance to humor is futile. Five to beam up.

Well, Paul, at least T'Pol provides a modicum of torrid turgidity from time to time.

JD - I love this comment "Well, Paul, at least T'Pol provides a modicum of torrid turgidity from time to time." "torrid turgidity", indeed she does...they should just scrap the entire crappy script for the next episode and just shows scenes of T'Pol in various stages of miniscule (or less) dress. I'm enough of a pig to it watch if they did that...how 'bout you?

Johnny and Michael: Thanx!

Paul: IMHO the last two seasons of Voyager was the best Star Trek ever. TNG may have had the best scenes and the best cliffhangers. Do you remember the parallell universes story where they encountered an Enterprize that had been defeated by the Borg? Here's how we made fun of that scene over at Sev Trek:
