Parody Song Title:

"Trollin' On The River"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

went, with my rod, to the jetty
jerkin' on my line, lots of fish, all day
but i've never caught one, worthy of keepin'
worryin' that my patience might wear thin

big reel, keep on turnin'
trout, merrily, keep churnin'
trollin'...trollin'...trollin' on the river

been around this place, where men fish
dumped a lot of bait, but results, not seen
yes, i've only caught the weak and itty-bitty
as i pitch my fly in this river bed's stream

big reel, keep on turnin'
trout, merrily, keep churnin'
trollin'...trollin'...trollin' on the river

when i come down to the river
trout, i wanna find, to slap on my dish
but i never worry...bait don't cost much money
peaceful on this river...just happy to fish

big reel, keep on turnin'
trout, merrily, keep churnin'
trollin'...trollin'...trollin' on the river

trollin'...trollin'...trollin' on the river
trollin'...trollin'...trollin' on the river
trollin'...trollin'...trollin' on the river

I was kind of wary after the first two lines but I persevered and what a charming fishing parody.

I know what you mean, Royce: but what's a parody without a little double entendre...

Better than a pocket fisherman! Using a well crafted parody is the best way to TACKLE five fishin'.

Alvin, we might have wee dirty minds, but it takes someone with a spoon to stir em up--though I know you never would...

Ingenious, what everyone said about subs, matching, etc., but the biggest double-entendre was in the title. I expected something completely different from "Trolling"; didn't anyone else? Fives for being a Master Baiter.
