Song Parodies -> "You're a Hard One, Mr. Rush"

Original Song Title:

"You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch"

Original Performer:

Dr. Seuss

Parody Song Title:

"You're a Hard One, Mr. Rush"

Parody Written by:

Spaff.com

The Lyrics

"Mr. Grinch" has been recorded a bunch o' times; my parody is based - kinda sorta - on the killer version by the Whirling Dervishes (temporarily available at spaff.com/dktos).
You're a hard one, Mr. Rush
You really are a prong
You're as turgid as a turnip
Is your radio "turned on," Mr. Rush?

You're a ripe banana
Hanging so far right it's wrong

You're a firm one, Mr. Rush
A hardened heart-and soul
You're as thick as Bill O'Reilly
When you grip your spin control, Mr. Rush

I wouldn't let you touch me with that
Three-and-a-half-inch pole

You're a stiff one, Mr. Rush
A Pfizer riser trick
You really pulled a boner
Will you get your problem licked, Mr. Rush?

Given the choice between the two of you, I'd go
Quail hunting with Dick

The three words that best describe you are as follows, and I quote:
Pimp
Gimp
Limp
(c) 2006+ Limp Baugh

Such a big deal over such a small thing ;-)

I think Rush thought they were Vicodin. And I think you're freaking brilliant. 555

turgid as a turnip...lol

I think I'm a bit out of it, who is Mr. Rush? I enjoyed this song, simply because it's Spaff spoofing Suess... but I'd like to know who this Rush character is...

Too funny, 555.

Mason & Ravyn & alvin & Stephen & Johnny & Rick: I thank you from the bottom of my throbbing...um...heart.

Matthias: I don't want to spoil the joy of discovering this story for yourself, so do this: Go to news.google.com and search "Limbaugh"

again, my itunes Quicktime won't play the download spaff (is it an mp3?) - lovely clever double entendres from the master - I just love Seuss stuff - 555
Spaff.com - June 27, 2006 - Report this comment
s2art: Yes, it's an MP3. Try right-clicking the link (not the one above, but the one on my dktos page) and using a command like "download file" or "save file." Oh, and lots of little blue thank-yous.

Funny take on The Rush dude. it'd be cool if it later on became recorded with Mr. Lund.555 (P.S. It's A good thing that Seuss dude is dead. Otherwise he'd "suess all!!!",lol, sorry if that was a little cheesey)

"Turgid turnip" is good alliteration, but weak simile. The rest of the parody is similarly uninspired. In your last verse, whom are you quoting?
Spaff.com - June 27, 2006 - Report this comment
Joel: I don't think Robert would touch this with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole. (But a guy can hope.) As for "suess all": *Groan*

DD: So turnips don't look turgid to you? Ever seen one? And in the final lines I'm quoting the same source Dr. Suess quotes in the original. I believe it's from "Troilus and Cressida."

still can't do it, spaff - I tried downloading "You're Beautiful" too, and the same thing happened. After downloading, I get the quicktime logo then a washed-out question mark appears over it (with both songs) which I've never seen before and it won't play - yet every other mp3 file I download (mine for instance) works automatically - does anybody out there know anything about............"The Washed Out Question Mark"

Sorry, Stuart. Beats me. (Pun intended.)

First oxycontin, now Viagra. Can't get it up because of the former so he needs the latter. First he smokes a Limbaugh rock then can't get a limber c*ck, AKA chubby pecker. 555

Now who has "talent on loan from God"? Unlike Rush, your loan won't be called in anytime soon!

Steven: Thanks for my first 565 ever. And bring it on.

A loooong time ago, a co-worker said I sounded like rush. I think it was intended to be an insult. that was '91. I had never heard of rush before. I listened, at first I liked, but then , I found, Rush is a limp wristed moderate. It frankly insults me that anyone would try to defend the republican revolution. I'm not rich, I only give about $500 toward republicans per presidential election period. It's just business,. Why pay for a bush, When you can get a Kennedy for free?

My God the transference Clinton has elicited. People want B*** snipered or otherwise killed...for what? Because millions wanted to see C****** die early and BROKE because he besmurched the presidency and embarassed the USA before the entire world. Not only that but he laughed about it, much akin to flipping off the judge after you got your sentence for malfeasance that you DESERVED! All Mr. C endured was the loss of his lawyer license...big deal,,,absolved from paying $100 plus to the Bar Association...saved $500 plus. He still makes a killing giving long-winded speeches to craven liberals who are unaware of POINT TWO...something of his said to be the size of a roll of quarters. Which was a big point...NO PUN INTENDED...of "Hard One". ALL THIS IS TRANSfERANCE, PSYCHOLOGICALLY.

Lately Bush is deemed an East Coast Patrician Elitist by a Red Academian...who forgot about speech patterns and cowboy boots...Rush is a harmless loveable fuzzball full of love and goodwill to mankind...if his crime is being RICH and paying TOO much in tax like all RICH people...Then he is GUILTY. Recall also that Democrats begat Social Security, tax it, and give it away to foreigners who have NOT PAID a dime into SS to be tapping the money.
