Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Done this OS, including those with co-author, ten times. ... Oops, make that eleven;)

If had my way, would it be the *only*? Naah, too many other good OS (and atrocious ones; hence good targets), but -- we all have our faves. :) ... and Susanna Viljanen seems to have gotten hooked also ;) though to a cover version. Dusty's is here.

I don't know what it is that makes me love this song
I only know I always want to sing along
The tune, once begun: zing! A bouncy beat
Whenever I start singing, can't help: tap my feet
Or 'haps, my flippers, four
I'm turtling all around the floor!

It doesn't matter: Hamlet, Caesar, Romeo
My trusty, busty Dusty must be way to go
Can do any fun thing, and do it well
Can even parodize your journey into Hell
I need to pee, not pooh?
The only OS TT'd do!

First heard when quite young: me
I would sing it loud and strong
I knew not of her tragic life
But mine: brightened by her song

It's rhythmic; sunny!

Ev'rybody knows that men have one-track minds
They're thinking of the ladies, whether fronts, behinds
Their hands, always grabbing, for "just one kiss"
A moment later, dog-like: bury bony bris
T-Turned this OS to:
"I Only Want to Sleep With You"

[interlude - happy music]

It brought a smile to T.
(Even though I still can't dance)
I fell for Dusty's vocal charms
Now, use for parodic chants!

It's cheery, honey!

"Sheepish" love; to AmIRight, a tribute, mass
The witches stirring cauldron, or a lovely lass
For Queen Helen's "sacking": destroy old Troy
Though both those end in tragedy, this song, a joy!
When TT's time, end, must:
From ash to ash; from Dusty, dust!

The subject matter? No matter what I do
This song, it always seems, comes through!

Ah, I was just thinking how you seemed very fond of this song. Now I know why! ;) I especially like the "from ash to ash, from Dusty, dust" line. And a very handy guide to your other takes on this song as well. Off to read some more!

Eleven? Wow! At least busty Dusty ain't getting rusty!
Fantastic pacing and clever word aglomeraTTions, per usual... love the way you were able to introduce all your previous parodies so seemingly (and occasionally 'seamyly') naturally. And, I (and Glen Close) completely agree with your assessment of the OS's, er, Turtle ATTraction

Bilbopooh: Glad you liked one of the author's own fave lines! Thanks for v/c, and hope you enjoy the Dusty road!

Old Man Ribber: Sometimes, just "fools". :-D thanks, OMR!

TJC: Rusty? Not if TT can help it! ... uh, can do without Glenn Close, thank you, esp. after using her in y'day's "Gf Wack", but thanks for considering shameless plugging as seamless parodying! :)

AFW: Thank you very much, Sir. Mike P. appointed *himself* "King of TWOTEF", I'd much prefer the crown be bestowed by readers!
