The Lyrics

Sometimes a glitch in a videogame can be beloved by the community for being a handy shortcut or making tricky parts easier. This dude doesn't have that mentality and is trying to get a bug fixed by asking dudes who do...
I play games cause I like some fun
But when the damn thing starts glitchin' that comes undo-one
Tryna find a fix, ask round on foru-ums
But they say bugs are great for speedru-uns
Not even close to a solutio-ion
Just want to play the game, gu-uys
I can't when bugs arise

Don't care what tactics you're tryna teach me-e
It's a bug, not a feature, ma-an
It's not intended, so stop the speech, plea-ease
It's a bug, not a feature, man
Just a bug, a bu-ug
Ooh, don't like bugs

"They make the game so friggin' easy-y"
Yeah, cheatin' does that, I fi-ind
"It's not cheatin', you rule-lovin' geek"
So skippin' levels isn't cheatin'? Yeah right
Exploitin' frame drops to move fast, that's no-ot right
And I don't wanna corrupt my file

Wanna play the game as it's meant to be-e
It's a bug, not a feature, ma-an
Call me "noob", call me "scrub" or call me "gree-een"
It's a bug, not a feature, man
Just a bug (bug), a bu-ug (bug)
Ooh (I don't want bugs)
Don't like bugs

Holdin' back my te-emper
Because not one of you gu-uys
Seems to want to help me fix this, why-y?
Actin' like it's a crime
To not use bugs all the time
My annoyance is still growin'
At these proud-of-game-hackin' folks

"You're a total scrub to not use the glitch, see
Not a bug, it's a feature, ma-an
Developers left it in purposely-y
Not a bug, it's a feature, man
Not a bug (bug), you du-unce (dunce)
Ooh (you really su-u-uck)"

I'm not a dunce just cause I'm honest, see
Refuse to play games with bugs, they're not features, man
Cheat codes were put in deliberately
Use them as such, call them features, man
Not that I would, just comparin' codes, see
To those unplanned bugs which aren't features, man
I swear I don't use cheats, don't accuse me
They're not bugs, they're a feature, man (ah-ooh-yeah)
I didn't say that, you can't convict me

I've never intentionally tried to use a glitch in a game. Not even the classic head-bucket trick in Skyrim, though that's because I only steal stuff when I have to in order to progress, not because I feel like it.

As a software developer, this one caught my eye. Clever!

What Jeff said.. though I am tempted to write one from the developer's perspective, sort of a "Not a bug, it's a feature, man" :-)
