The Lyrics

Alaska senator Ted Stevens and Congressman Don Young have been under investigation for graft for years. Stevens was recently indicted for making false statements about receiving gifts, primarily from prominent Alaska business executive Bill Allen, the former chairman of Veco, a now defunct oil and construction company. Stevens, who once referred to the Internet as "a series of tubes," was the driving force behind the infamous hundreds-of-millions-of-dollars "bridge to nowhere" boondoggle, killed on 9/21 by Alaska Gov Sarah Palin, after first being for the bridge. She voted against it after she voted for it.
Rapine man is he,
But dummy Teddy's snared.
Want to gain? Write him a check,
He of "bridge to nowhere."
All for a "fee"
(Of many G's)
For Teddy's share.

Just gotta be his tither--
Be kind and pay enough.
But it turned out he was lyin'
At tax time about all that graft 'n' stuff.

Now, can it be that Teddy's snared?
All his gain was finally checked. . .
The numbers didn't square.
Can't go for free
(Must pay a fee)
To Teddy's lair.

Had to pay mordi-
da, what is called "the bite,"
To Ted; he'd get you a share
Of pork--you'd do alright.
But now we see
(How can it be?)
That Teddy's snared.

So, Teddy might be a writher
'cause the Fed's called his bluff.
And it turned out he was lyin'
At tax time, 'cause he didn't pay enough

Now, can it be that Teddy's snared?
All his gain was finally checked. . .
The numbers didn't square.
There's felony
(You're tellin' me!)
in Teddy's lair.

How about Donnie, now Teddy's snared?

Very clever. Quite informative, but I'm sure that was unintentional. ;-)

I enjoyed this entertaining polictical satire, the acting was spectacular, the pacing was wonderful, and the story is simply inspirational. The actor who plays Teddy in this song is particularly good in the role. The song was very good and very inspiration. I give this song 555 stars.
