Song Parodies -> "Brew Christmas"

Original Song Title:

"Blue Christmas"

Original Performer:

Elvis Presley

Parody Song Title:

"Brew Christmas"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Let's have a brew Christmas. Stout for you?
Let's have some brew--drink a round or two.
Fermentation gives head that's frothy and foamy.
Here's holiday cheer, so have a beer with me.

When too much brew makes me start falling,
For Abdul's taxi we will be calling.
No DUI tonight--hope our driver's not tight,
Stewed from too much booze or brews for Christmas.

I couldn't reconcile the pacing of the last half of the first stanza, but the concept is quite funny! ***Note to AJ, who didn't check the box to allow comments: you added a coupla excellent verses to my own "My Bonnie's A Good Song For Spoofing"! -- MM
