Parody Song Title:

"Stray"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Stray, yes,
is that dog that is walking
freely down the street.
Guess I’d better be talking
to the stray-pickup guys…
gotta get ’em apprised.
They’ll send somebody over here…
put it inside
the right-size cage.
If the dog do not wanna
go in, still they’ll fill
the cage, though barks might be shrill…
have their will.

At first they will greet that canine,
put it in a cage—not with felines.

Stow Fido then go to where there’s food and water.
If pooch is lucky, it gets an adopter.

Not any longer a stray,
but before adoption: spay.
Though still territory-spray….
pray it ain’t on the parquet.
