The Lyrics

It's wrong to mistreat prisoners, but it's SAVAGE to cut someone's
head off, and it's final......rest in peace, Nick Berg from PA
We're too depraved to be true
We chopped your head off of you
You'd be so grizzly to touch
We hated you very much
We are so very depraved
We sent you into your grave
You're just too dead to be true
We chopped your head off of you

Pardon the way that we hack
You were a tough one to whack
Or maybe we didn't try----
There was a glint in our eye
Savages really don't feel
Now you are dead, that's the deal
You're just too dead to be true
We chopped your head off of you

We killed you, Nick Berg
We got it down on tape
We killed you Nick Berg
We are sadistic apes
We killed you Nick Berg
Trust in us when we say
Here in Iraq, Nick
We don't take any flack
here in Irag, Nick
You won't get your head back
And you are dead now, Nick B
You are dead now

We're too depraved to be true
We whacked your head off of you
You'd be so grizzly to touch
We hated you very much
We dumped you out on the road
Just like a skunk or a toad
We're too depraved to be true
We chopped your head off of you

We whacked your head, Berg
And now you're really dead
We hacked your head, Berg
Yes that it is what we said
We hacked your head, Berg
It's all down, on a tape
Here in Irag, Berg, we don't take any flack
Here in Iraq, Berg, you won't get your head back
And you are dead now, Nick B
You are dead now......

Royce, awesome pacing matching the original = 5; powerful expression of your feelings about this human and in-human tragedy, overall = 5; but the subject matter is just so heartbreakingly sad and infuriatingly evil that I can't bring myself to vote anything but a 1 for "How Funny" - in this case I don't think it's appropriate, for myself at least, to change "How Funny" to "How Profound" - the vote I cast in that category will still be displayed on Amiright under the column "How Funny" - and my sorrow for Nick and his family just won't let me do that. Good job, Royce.

Thanks for your honesty, Johnny. I agree- this isn't funny and I didn't mean it to be. But I appreciate a forum on which I can have a voice. There are many voices out there, mine is just one of them.

I guess I'm sick, but "you won't get your head back" made me laugh. Sorry. This actually looks like a fun song to parody, too. Maybe I'll take a whack at it. Anyway, good job.

The original was a great song and this has the rhythmicity normally not found on this site. The parody follows the original song very well. It's a shame that the actual act took place but anything is possible in the real world. Would be a finalist in post of the week if such honor existed.
