Parody Song Title:

"Cohones Test Fight of the Week"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

If US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid took a dose of Truth Serum, he might sing my paody of TOS before proceeding to a filibuster-proof vote on his medical monster.
Saturday night is the lone seen-less night of the week,
'Cause that's the night We the People shan't hear
When I mandate rules sneak.

I oft find Sunday night's a ball,
'Cause then fat lobbies come to call.
And Monday to Friday, alas,
A spending bill I can't pass.

But Saturday's right for felonious blight that I wreak,
'Cause that's the night that the Press Corps ain't near
When I pander and tweak.

Until I steer that bill to the floor,
Till sure AYE count is three score,
Saturday night is cohones-test fight of the week.

Say now, Saturday night is the longest work night of the week,
And I speak out strongly 'gainst things special interests usually seek.

Until docs bear the rap for this cure
And health insurers harm no more,
Saturday night's is the phoniest rite of the week.
I wrote this on Friday before the cloture vote, which succeeded, so by Monday it's moot. But I'll bet that the final vote comes on another weekend after Thanksgiving, to pass what House Dominatrix Nancy Pelosi called "a Christmas {not "holiday"?} gift for the American people."

I am reminded that the US House passed its version also on a Saturday, Nov. 7, by 220-215. I'd change "hear" to "spy" and "near" to "nigh" to rhyme with "I"s of the OS.

I came across this parody and I had to find out what Harry Reid did before submitting v/c. According to what I've read on "The Capitalist' website, it stated that Harry Reid introduced his health care reform bill in the Senate late Wednesday, a measure that would expand coverage to nearly all Americans at an estimated cost of $849 billion over 10 years. According to your top comments, it would be funny if Reid took the truth serum and sing your parody. I wouldn't want to miss that! 5's!

Another well-crafted political parody (politody?) Standout line: "But Saturday's right for felonious blight that I wreak,"... Brilliant! :)

CMM & Fg: Thanks for your c's & v's. How about this parody title for the bluedogs and independents, "Aye, we have no cohones"? But maybe they will on the final vote.
