"Tornadoes"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Tornadoes,
Tornadoes,
They call the wind,
Tornadoes

Out here in Kansas, they've a name
For rain and wind and fire
The rain is rain, the fire's fire,
But they call the wind, Tornadoes..

Tornadoes blow the houses down
And turn them into to Play-Dohs
Tornadoes make a freight train sound
And can even dig potatoes..

Tornadoes,
Tornadoes,
They call the wind,
Tornadoes

Impossible to make winds tame,
Like growing square tomatoes..
If your outside and one comes up,
Got a cheap trip to Barbados..

Don't build your house of wood or straw,
Much stronger brick and clay goes
And when that Twister whips it's tail,
Memorize some prayers, and say those..

Tornadoes,
Tornadoes,
They call the wind,
Tornadoes

Out here in Kansas, there's a name
For rain and wind and fire
The rain is rain, the fire's fire,
But they call the wind, Tornadoes

Leave out your male and female dogs,
If need to neuter, spay those
When big winds come,
They'll fix 'em, chum
They're birth control, Tornadoes..

Tornadoes,
Tornadoes,
They call the wind,
Tornadoes

Whenever my dad wasn't playing Marty Robbins on the Hi Fi, he'd be playing a Kingston Trio album that had this song on it. So I heard this song about a bazillion times when I was real little as well. Wonder if this will trigger something

This blew me away! But I missed having names for rain and fire like TOS. How about "Hussein is vain, the liar's Joe" for the coming tornado season?

Pretty good, I like the OS. The parody's timely due to the extreme weather around the world and the amount of thunderstorms we are having here too. 5s!

Nice job AFW. Here's some interesting reading on Germany's WW2 artificial wind and tornado cannon projects: http://discaircraft.greyfalcon.us/FAULKER%20FEUERSTURM.htm

I once attended a city council meeting at which some entrepreneur showed off his plans for a 500 foot tall stainless steel tornado as a tourist attraction. He apparently was not aware that a tornado had just hit the western part of the county, killing at least one man and destroying dozens of buildings, including the place where I worked. Needless to say, his idea went nowhere.

Didn't have access to the OS, AFW, but the parody in itself was a fun read. Loved the Barbados and Play Doh lines.
