The Lyrics

I imagine everyone knows actor Joaquin Phoenix was a best actor Academy Award nominee, for playing Johnny Cash in "Walk The Line" and lost to Phillip Seymour Hoffman
By The Time They Got To Phoenix,
No more Oscars
Best Actor given to Hoffman, Phil, Seymour
Joaq just smiled, when he heard the speech
He could've given
One, since nomination, he'd been ready for
We imagine the disappointment he was feelin'
It has to be the worst rejection of all
A win would make his phone just keep on ringin'
Off the Wall, the wall
By the time he got back home, and in bed sleepin'
Prob'ly dream't and heard his name called out low
'Stead of Phil, who was great and played Capote
He should've won for "Walk The Line" we know
It was a real good show,
That's the way it goes,
No one really knows...

Actually, no, there are a few of us living in our caves in Afghanistan who don't follow that stuff, but well-crafted switch on OS, so Five Oscars.

5s, though I think Phil deserved it. Now how about a version about how it was too late for the medics to save River?

Thanks, Tommy...you say you Been laiden around in Afgha'stan?.. ...............Thanks, John...actually, I agree with you, but parody wouldn't work as well, that way..............................and thanks, alvin,,,,,true, his career is off and running...

good job, AFW, although I'm tipping you haven't seen Capote, because PSH's performance was one of those cross-the-line phenomena - 555

Well you know that I agree with you AFW...=) And winner or not, given the chance, I would have Mr. Phoenix's phone ringing off the hook for sure!

I think the problem was that, while I could easily imagine Joaquin Phoenix as A country singer, I just couldn't make the jump to thinking he was Johnny Cash, though I could imagine Reese Witherspoon and June Carter. But Philip Seymour Hoffman looks like Truman Capote even without makeup. But which one would I rather spend any time around? The man who sang about how he "shot a man in Reno... just to watch... him... die..." even if he really didn't; or the man who'd write annoying little comments about others doing that? Cash over Capote anytime. Cash even had the more interesting drug problem.
