The Lyrics

Written in honor of the sexual tension between Max Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy) and Fran Fine (Fran Drescher) in the show "The Nanny," which ran from 1993-1999.
Mr. Sheffield, you have a hot nanny
She has quite a bust and a fanny
I can tell her accent turns you on
But to your accent I can see she’s also drawn

Fran Fine was born and raised in Flushing, Queens
But she’ll never, ever cause a scene,
Even if she and C.C. Babcock
Were in the same room; she’ll be tugging down her frock

She takes the kids anywhere around the
Block and city, from Times Square to Broadway

If she finds her mother has been meddling (has been meddling)
Suggest to her a job in peddling (in peddling)
Though her daughter has peddled makeup
In Manhattan after her very sad breakup

She loves those kids, treats them like they’re her own
Unlike C.C. Babcock, whose fuse gets blown

Sometimes she confides in butler Niles (butler Niles)
Sardonic but with lots of style (of style)
That’s likely why they both get along,
That and their rivalry with Ms. Babcock is strong

Mr. Sheffield, you have a hot nanny (a hot nanny)
Mr. Sheffield, you have a hot nanny (a hot nanny)
Mr. Sheffield, you have a hot nanny (a hot nanny)
Mr. Sheffield, you have a hot nanny (a hot nanny)
I've watched the show with my mom every once in a while when it ran on Nick at Nite, and I checked its IMDB page while writing the parody to ensure that I got the references right.

Fran Drescher was way too skinny back then. She's one of the few women I know who looks better in her 50s than in her 30s. She looks damn good now.

Never liked the show nor Fran's annoying voice, but 555 for nostalgia!!! I had a girl that looked like her at work that wanted to go out, but b/c of Fran- it just wasn't gonna happen! She didn't have her voice, but same mannerisms- too creepy, even for a one-nighter ;-D

She definitely looks amazing now. She's a strong woman, too, so I feel that her strength especially radiates her.

Never watched the show--thanks for summing it up.

No problem! My mom and I hadn't watched it until it started running on Nick and Nite. (I turned eight the year it premiered.) It does have its funny moments, especially the episode where Fran and C.C. have jury duty, and Fran delivers this long soliloquy about romantic involvement and murder.

I liked many of Fran's outfits, too... but the only outfit reference I could make was "tugging down her frock". Ah well. I still enjoyed writing it. =)
