The Lyrics

Mrs. Claus, you've got a boring husband
While the big guy may be kinda cute
He's a dud, he spends more time with elves
Eats cookies by the score and only owns one suit

Only thing he cares about is children
All around the world he'd rather go
Christmas Eve, he never stays at home
And it must drive you nuts when he says, "Ho, ho, ho!"

Santa's a lout, makes you scream and shout, well
Just kick him out, show him what you're about

Doesn't shave or even bring you flowers (bring you flowers)
And his love for reindeer makes you sob (makes you sob)
Bad enough he doesn't have a car
Eleven months a year, he doesn't have a job

Santa's a lout, makes you scream and shout, well
Just kick him out, show him what you're about

If he wants to know if I've been naughty (I've been naughty)
Tell him I'm one of the nicest boys (nicest boys)
Don't you narc, don't tell him what I've said
He may be really dull, but he still gives me toys

Mrs. Claus, you've got a boring husband (boring husband)
Mrs. Claus, you've got a boring husband (boring husband)
Mrs. Claus, you've got a boring husband (boring husband)
Mrs. Claus, you've got a boring husband (boring husband)

Three fives from me, mate!

And here's a little Santa limerick I composed a few years ago - I'm posting it here in appreciation for your great parody and for the time you've spent reading and commenting on my own material - many thanks!

The department store Santa was burly
His snowy white beard was quite curly
But they hauled him away
When the guard heard him say
WANNA SEE THE "NORTH POLE", LITTLE GIRLY ??

Thanks everybody. :) I haven't actually ever heard this song in full (bit before my time), so once I got the idea I had to look up the lyrics online and do my best.

Lovely, Dingo! I have to admit, though, that in the last verse I thought you were going to rhyme "head" with "said." Maybe it's for the best that you didn't.

And Johnny D wins the Best Comments award. No contest.

How's your bum for warts? This was good. I really enjoyed it. 5 toys for you under the tree.

Thanks, guys. Gee, between the "head" and the "North Pole", maybe I got it wrong about Santa.

Strong beginning, equally strong ending! I love the cute/suit bit.

odd thing, i heard this song on the radio earlier and decided to attack it. so i did and sent it in. now i see your version, totally opposite direction. i gave you 5s its a miserable tune that i have no concept of how it sold. they sped up and slowed the lyrics down to make it work with their almost total lack of musical skills is all i can figure. this rambling thing has got repeating verses in it almost like 3 choruses. i would like to see others versions of this poor tune.

Awesome, Bulldog! One of the best Christmas parodies posted on A.I.R.- seamless from top to bottom - and oh, so funny . . . Just wonderin': Aren't Santa's elves just a bunch of subordinant Clauses?

You did good mate especially considering you haven't heard this song. I grew up with this song, and whenever I hear it, I try to sound as much like Peter Noone as possible, and it doesn't sound bad. Your rhyming of go with it must drive you nuts when he says ho ho ho was good! I always enjoy hearing this song, and I'll think of some of your lyrics next time I do! :)

Thanks again, everybody. Being in the top 10 for a couple of days was pretty cool. :) And if Santa's helpers ask, none of us were here.
