The Lyrics

My poor old truck's not the same
Since it got hit by a train,
It knocked me out of my Levis and adidas
Down the track we flew.
Said twelve "Hail Marys"
Hit a tree, plumb full of cherries
And had to change to clean, clean shorts at home

My old dog, Wharf, he's still barkin'
But his brown hair's all turned gray
It broke my old guitar that I used to play on
When I go past them tracks, I say "Hail Marys"
Busted tree, with no more cherries,
Recall my change to clean, clean shorts at home

Yes, those shorts needed laundry
Thoughts now, keep me in a quand'ry
Often, I change to clean, clean, shorts at home

Sometimes I wake and look around me
Dreams of that big wreck, they still hound me
Hard to realize that I've been only dreamin'
'Cuz' there's an odor that I sniffed on that day
Can't look down, I know what's that way
Once more, a change to clean, clean shorts at home

Tub a lot of laundry, thinkin' back now
And I never cross that track now,
Just keep changin' into clean, clean shorts at home

Changin' into clean, clean, shorts at home

You've become quite the word Jockey. Very imaginative switch, followed though to the "end" hehe. I vote you "All" Fives.

That made me laugh! I wouldn't mind doing your laundry, since it's one of my favorite household chores! You've got most of the lyrics have "cleaned up" big time! Humor in the rinse cycle! I echo TT's comments and all comments above! I also love the OS because it reminds me of this country music party at the VFW I went with my former classmate of mine. Well, you can take "three, three 5's back home"!
