Parody Song Title:

"I Walked the Plank"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I keep a dark patch on one eye of mine
I keep my parrot with me all the time
Before that pirate ship sank in the slime
I said no thanks,
I'll walk the plank

It wasn't all that easy to bale out
But as I watch the sinking stern, I have no doubt
Sometimes you gotta turn yourself about
You go down, Frank
I'll walk the plank

As sure as pirates sail and plunder take
I will now sail free, for heaven's sake
That little voyage ended, it's no prank
That ship just sank
I walked the plank

I got away, no longer by your side
And I will find some better fortune on the tide
Whichever way it turns, I'm gonna ride
That ship just sank
I walked the plank

Avast, Wench Royce! Ye done bloody good, ya scurvy gal! Except it's "bail out," and the song came out in 1956, not the Sixties. But a good call on The Man In Black. Have you thought about trying out for the Pittsburgh Pirates?

Thanks, Michael--if anyone was gonna write a spicy comment, I knew it had to be you; you've got a problem, too, as you once told me, and don't you change.

Good parody, Royce. Johnny Cash songs work out pretty good for parody. So Mike, is it Hey bail out or Hay bale out? You just had to drop her with your fall out.

Just ran across this one while researching. I must have missed it in July. Royce, you have no end of clever ideas!
