The Lyrics

NBA Play-offs have arrived! Time to score a couple cases of your favorite brew, load up on greasy potato chips, pre-fabricated dip and other munchies, order up a couple cheap, extra-large pizza's covered with questionable meat toppings and invite the whole sick crew over for an afternoon that your spouse won't let you forget for years to come. This song is from 'Love's' superb 60's album "Forever Changes". I've included lyrics and audio links in the bottom comments section.
(Instrumental intro)

At my house I have some snack rolls
You can come for brunch if you want to
When you call if I don't answer
Might be in the pool in the backyard
I'll make sure the beer is cold but if
you wants Coors you'll have to bring your own

Just last night I bought some snack chips
Salty, with dip, goes good with a beer
We will probably eat too much
We'll belch, we'll fart, and make grunting noises
Ordered pizza; got here cold and stiff
but after four beers it all tastes the same
Yes, it tastes the same
I think it all tastes the same, yeah, like dog chow

(Instrumental break - guitar solo)

By the time that we're through eating
The smells from the booze and farts will be reeking
Indigestion, constipation
This food today will turn to doo-doo come tomorrow
All the junk-food turns to crud and stinks
You don't think so? Go take a whiff, bub
It's like a septic tank
It's really getting rank
I think it's clogged my drain
I think it's clogging my drain

Adagio & Alvin - Thanks! I ALMOST have gone to see Arthur Lee a couple times in the past year or so - events has conspired so that I never actually have. I went to this last year's "Jimi Hendrix" birthday tribute at the local "BB Kings Blues" place in Universal City - Lee was supposed to appear on the bill. I think he did, but I couldn't hang when it got to around 11:30 pm (I was still working then and it was a week-night) and other performers were still on. I don't know how long a set he did that night, probably not too much. Another time I offered to take a friend who's a little down and out - he backed out at the last minute and hit me up for a loan for the ticket price I was gonna pop for...OH, well. I AM really glad Lee was let out of jail and performing well from what I hear.
