Law’s been in the works
since voters said, “OK!”
But not everybody’s pleased
(some in D.C., peeved).
They still insist on “Nay!”
(their view is, “No way!”).

Cannabis ain’t legal (cannabis illegal),
that’s what the Feds still say.

All-in for the green
(a 7-state team).
Now get high, you may
(voters said, “OK!”)…
shop freely for pot
(then alter your thoughts);
there’s lots on display
(to the Feds’ dismay).
The buyers and sellers
(giving/getting highs that’s stellar)
at last got their way.
