Parody Song Title:

"My Taxes Filed"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

my taxes filed
my task, a trial
i can't believe how my treasure was defiled
a hold-up man
would play more fair
its really punishing, i swear

i gave, its true
but none give to me
i'd like to know why i'm burned
i'm oh so blue
i say "woe is me"
this is a bummer
my stomach churns
this is a bummer

you pay the man
cock-eyed, this plan
he jacks you up and you find you're broke again
he makes the rules
i pay my share
but he says, "son, put more in there"

i gave till blue
wow, how easily...
the man will take what i've earned
and when he's through
i'm so tired of greed
this is a bummer
i sure got burned
this is a bummer

my taxes filed
my task a trial
i can't believe how my treasure was defiled

That really hit home...they take and take, then want when there is nothing left. 5's

Especially liked the 'hold up man would play more fair' part. We've got our share of crooks here too - they take as much as they can get, keep it safe for themselves by putting it all in the name of relatives then when they get found out they get a multi million pound payout to leave. Should all end up in jail is what I think but they never do because they're protected by their friends who make the laws

The rich have their tax shelters, but the rest of us have to earn enough money to pay our taxes.

PS I jumped the gun a bit on your parody and was thinking of where the money ends up once you've paid. So many crooked deals to line the pockets of someone who doesn't deserve it & too little ending up where it should

Brilliant deductions here.....Sorry I was so late checking this out - Was busy trying to find Publication 555 so I could figure out how to rate it.

Clever parody, like always, Alvin! Long time! :) Yeah, we did our taxes few weeks ago. I was on a temp job that dealt with filing taxes; people who have issues filing taxes through the software "Complete Tax". I interact with those customers through email and chat. So, as Leo said above, brilliant deductions and sorry I was late to check this out. The IRS are a bunch of crooks. Anyhow, your taxes filed and you had just received a refund of $555 (both federal and state) :).
