Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Rummy, Rummy, Rummy

Rummy, Rummy, Rummy's got a rock in his tummy--
Feels like he forgot to chew.
Goin' to a meetin'--
It's not what he's eatin'--
And it's all about Abu.

"Ooh love to hold ya,
Ooh love to kiss ya,
Ooh, Dub, I love it so.
Ooh, Dub, your peter's
Sweeter than sugar.
Promise you won't let me go-o-o-o."

Rummy, Rummy, Rummy's stuck with Iraq; he's glum, he
Speaks shrilly as he can keen,
The answers that he's givin'
Sure do sound like fibbin'
Congress leeches scream, "Come clean!":

"Kind-a like torture,
Kind-a like vices,
Kind-a like a thumbscrew.
Kind-a sounds funny,
Sounds like the dummy
Ain't going to fire you-ou-ou-ou."

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Rummy, Rummy, Rummy tries to cover his bum; he
Mouths words that don't satisfy.
He tries to say a "neat" thing;
He calls Levin "sweet thing."
But it all sounds like a lie.

"Ooh love to hold ya,
Ooh love to kiss ya,
Ooh, Dub, I love it so.
Ooh, Dub, your peter's
Sweeter than sugar.
Promise you won't let me go-o-o-o."

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Clever transformation of an incredibly stupid song into an incredibly intense personal expression of your Freedom of Speech. Well done.

Excellent subversion of one of the worst songs ever recorded. Outstanding clever rhymes: "Rummy--glum; he--bum; he". HA! Hey John, with a name like yours, I'd suggest you parody all the James Bond themes. Hmmm.....anyway, good work here. d;:^)

Thanks, John. Looks like today might be your first day posting parodies on Amiright? If it is, let me be among the first to welcome you to the neighborhood! You've made a very impressive start. Please keep 'em comin' !

Thanks, Johnny. You're right--first time. A friend just told me about this site. Song parodies and limericks are my avocation, and I'd been looking for a forum. This is great.

Limericks are also one of my hobbies, too.....here's one of my Christmas season limericks:

The department store Santa was burly
His snowy white beard was quite curly
But they hauled him away
When the guard heard him say
"Wanna see the 'NORTH POLE', little girly?"

Nice one, Johnny D. I'm dashing out for the night but am interested in continuing these threads later.

If he's gonna parody all the Bond themes, he can't have "Oilfinger." That was one of the first I ever posted here. You can tell: It was a good idea poorly executed.
