The Lyrics

When first I came to Washington, employment there to find -
I met a White House intern who had a twisted mind.
Her shifty eyes, her lying tongue, they gave my mind no rest,
The name she bore was Monica the Stinkweed of the West!

I kept my eye on Monica, some evidence to find,
Eventually, I heard a tale that really blew my mind.
She told a nasty secret that leaked out to the press,
I never trusted Monica, the Stinkweed of the West!

It seemed like in an instant the poo had hit the fan,
She squealed to a woman who told a certain man -
That she had (slide whistle) the president, but he held her love in jest,
We were put on by Monica the Stinkweed of the West!

Then they commenced proceedings to impeach the President,
They then presented volumes of Monica's lament.
She whined and cried and carried on - showed a stain upon her dress,
I wish they'd impeach Monica the Stinkweed of the West!

The president was pardoned, but Monica was mad,
He owed her an apology for being such a cad.
She went on TV and wrote a book - made Best Seller list,
The world was conned by Monica the Stinkweed of the West!

DKTOS, but cute. However, isn't Bill the stinkweed here? He was married, she wasn't; he was her *boss*, which these days is instant Sexual Harassment, consensual or not (the implied threat of retaliation if the subordinate refuses); he was goofing off from his Real Job; he lied about it repeatedly and under oath, and then played word games, like "it depends on what the meaning of "Is" is", and it appears that he let her think that he had genuine feelings for her.

But other than that, it's pretty good for a noob! :).. and yeah, I know "Hannukkah" and "Monica" rhyme; that's why I suggested the line as a sub for "O Hannukah", a song I've heard my Jewish friends sing, but obviously don't remember well enough -- screwed up the second line, probably to the tune of "O Tannenbaum" (another famous Jewish song, right? -- about the Tannenbaum family down the street? lol)

Well, anyway, thanks for the link, and I doubt I'll remember to check back here, so if you have a reply, gimme a heads-(no pun intended)up or reply elsewhere -- like maybe at one of the posts that my collab and I hope to have up this week.

Happy Hannukkah, 2Eagle -- and oh, is that name fitting for one of said upcoming parodies! (you'll see why.) :-)

Just for the record: I read the Starr report and kept up with the news on Monica. President Clinton wasn't the first married man she hit on - there were others in the past. She seduced him and then squealed on him.
