The Lyrics

I see a blind curve and I want it painted red.
No one can park here, I just want it to turn red.
I see the cars drive by, much too fast they speed.
Dream on if you think a slow-down sign they’d heed.

I see a line of cars and they’re all driving slow-o.
It’s highway 101 and someone needs a tow-o.
I see people turn their heads; they just can’t look away.
Must be an awful wreck; it’s fun to rubberneck.

I look inside my car and see I’ve locked my keys.
So close, but still so far; I wish I had On-Star.
Maybe then I’d drive away into the setting sun.
If I’m lucky I’ll be home before the morning comes.

No more will that green light ensure I can drive through.
That red-light camera needs to get its revenue.
