Parody Song Title:

"Anti-War Women"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I met a gin-soaked hippe queen in Memphis
she tried to say that her views were all too kind
she had to smoke weed and protest the water
'cause I just cant seem to make her change her mind

shes an anti-war woman
gimme gimme gimme the anti-war blues

She made a protest scene in New York City
I had to put up some kind of a fight
the lady then she tried to make them loathe us
'cause all that pot must really wreck your mind

shes an anti-war woman
gimme gimme gimme the anti-war blues

yeah!

shes an anti-war woman
gimme gimme gimme the anti-war blues

Yeah!

shes an anti-war woman
gimme gimme gimme the anti-war blues

protest the water? i guess you mean war unless its an unrelated tangent about protesting pollution in the water. Anyway there are plenty of people who oppose the war and are dont smoke pot (i'm one example)

Tonedef, but youre not a die hard protesting tree hugging hippie, at least I dont think you are... and yes, an unrelated pollution in water was meant by that line...

Not every great song makes for a good parody song. "Honky Tonk Women" is one of them. Only two verses. My favorite Stones song, "Dead Flowers," has the same problem: What sounds great in an original recording doesn't work as a printed joke. You did about as well as you could with the material, but there must be ten other Stones songs that can be turned into really good parodies, even if it's with a political position I find -- I'll be extremely polite -- unpleasant.

"Anyone who clings to the historically untrue--and thoroughly immoral--doctrine that 'violence never solves anything' I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The Ghost of Hitler could referee, and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more disputes in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms."
