I’ve come to race with you again
Because my favorite thing is this great sport
Done in many pools both long and short
And Olympics have been always in brain
This remains
Within the sound of swimming

In many lanes I’m not alone
There’s a teammate that’s well-known
Listening to coach’s practice set
I dip my goggles in the cold and wet
When my eyes were shot by the splash of a joking friend
Once more again
And helped the sound of swimming

And the chilly pool I saw
100 swimmers maybe more
Swimmers working on their butterfly
Swimmers perfecting their back and breast
Swimmers doing free that leads to the IM
Their feet must bend
And make the sound of swimming

“Dudes!” said I you do not know
Swimming like a virus grows
Take your mark and you might win gold
Listen to your coach do what you’re told
But my words like splashing ripples split
And spread out through the vibes of swimming

And the swimmers on the blocks
Try their best to beat the clock
And the buzzer gave out its signal
In a message for the swimmers all
And the score said “the time of the winning team is given in the top column”
Not the bottom
And obtain through the sound of swimming
