Parody Song Title:

"Get Baaaaaack"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

To Dolly, the first mammal cloned from an adult cell--happy trails to you. She died in 2003.
Dolly was a lamb they cloned over in Scotland
Born upon a summer day
Cell was placed into de-nucleated ovum
Now she's stuffed and on display

Get baaaaack
Get baaaaack
Get baaaaack
to where nobody clones
Get baaaaaack
Get baaaaaack
Get baaaaaack
to where nobody clones
Get back now, Dolly

Dolly showed the signs of prematurely aging
She was always kept inside
Didn't sniff the air nor in the grass go grazing?
Life was just a lonely ride

Get baaaaaack
Get baaaaaack
Get baaaaaack
to where a lamb belongs

Get baaaaack, now Dolly
your pasture's waiting for you
Wearing your sci-fi wool
As a warm warm sweater
Get on home, cloned critter

Get baaaack
Get baaaack
Get baaaack
To where you once belonged...

Is the second verse true? They didn't let Dolly go outside? How sad. But the parody was very clever and I loved the first verse. 555

Ravyn-thanks for your comment. I did read that Dolly had to be kept indoors because of security reasons and she most definitely aged before her time which was a result of the cloning.

Mary had a little lamb...and her father died from the shock. 555

This was quite original--well done! Pity about poor Dolly. (BTW to Agrimorfee...the Allan Sherman variation is: "Mary had a little lamb. The doctor was surprised!")
