Original Song Title:

"I'm So Tired"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"It's So Sad"

Parody Written by:

Phil Alexander

The Lyrics

It's so sad, they don't know how to think
It's so sad, perhaps too much to drink?
It's sad to keep a world view
That's so far out of sync
Ho! Ho! Ho!

It's so dumb, and oh so very wrong
It's so dumb, how can I play along?
It's a battle of wits, except that one side isn't armed

They'll say a few more insults
But they're feeble, really from adults?
Oh yeah, they're so weak, they're terribly lame
Talking butt-cheeks.. not sure that they're sane
You know they'd cheer everbody up
If they all left this site

It's so sad, the drivel that you get
Inco-wo-wo-wo-herent, and sharp as a baguette
So sad and pathetic
So up I won't get het

So what, they're voting this 1s
So they're showing, they're basic'ly c..
Pseudonymously, they don't use their names
Concluding thusly: they don't use their brains
You know they'd cheer everbody up
If they all left this site
They'd cheer everbody up
If they all left this site

They'd cheer everbody up
If they all left this site

Phil; Congratulations on your bravado in confronting the trolls on this site. 5x3. The comments ricocheted by "Art" may be a bit exaggerated given that AIR is a long distance from the real world, but our local troglodytes are certainly pompous, narcissistic and disruptive, and likely have sadistic tendencies.

"Malcolm's dead, miss him, miss him...". This place used to be so pleasant and community-minded. What the hell happened>

Agrimorfee: LOL, and concur totally. Phil Alexander: I like how you build the mystery of what you're talking about. I thought it was going to be about politics...and, hmm, maybe it is, on a personal level. And thanks for only indicating the C word. I think a little of your pacing may be off, but I'm not sure. Good stuff. 555.

... don't think? You mean don't think like you. And certainly worldviews vary by culture, race, geographical region, etc... so please spare us how sad your personal experiences have been. Others have been there too and either deal with it or fight it actively. Whining about it is less effective.

Thanks, everyone :-)

@Art Link-letter - unfortunately, that doesn't scan to "Gypsies, tramps and thieves" :-)

@Agrimorfee - seems to me it has followed the trend in US politics for things to get tribal, emotive and personal: precious little discussion, just unthinking antipathy to the person seen as being on the "other side"

@"Reality check" - No, I mean exactly what I've said: they don't think. Replies which are simple insults without any attempt at addressing whatever the parody or discussion is about; replies which completely miss the point because the respondent has either not read or not understood what else has been posted. A bit like you with the above parody, really. "Fight it actively"??? You mean by posting pseudonymous stupidity in the comments thread?
