Original Song Title:

"Yesterday"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Body Parts"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

Another unreleased one. Original song on YouTube

Bandy legs: ‘parts allotment’: seems I got the dregs
Torso looks like it’s a be-er keg
I’ve fingers like old wooden pegs

Sadden-ly, I'm not buff-ly man I yearn to be
Five ‘clock shadow’s always plaguing me
My chest displays concavity

Where I got huge nose – you suppose the milkman strayed?
As for my old schlong - isn’t long , or zestly staid

Liver’s greyed; stuffed – its only use is for paté
Acne greets my face most ev’ry day
Oh, I believe it’s festered ‘way

White hairs start to show, my big toe, from foot, it splays
My head’s thin and long, armpits pong
When talk, I spray...

Movement: free, body parts that’s how they ought to be
Now they creak and screech, it’s hard to pee
Oh my bod’s out of warranty...

Without question, the most touching and nuanced parodic treatment of the Beatles classic since "Leprosy" ... Immediate Amiright Hall of Fame enshrinement for "My chest displays concavity" No five year waiting period; straight in@@

I agree with CML. Hope it’s not too autobiographical though. I see your one’s got a grey liver while mine today has a beer screwed liver. Laughed at buff-ly man. Your line? Here’s £555 that you can spend on stiffener pills & deodorant

Thanks CML, high praise indeed! Andy: slightly biographical these days, sadly... I looked back at our workings, that whole verse was Merry's. However, the colour coding of our workings suggest that I changed something that word only. Probably it was originally 'studly' and I changed it to 'buffly' as it flowed better with the original 'half the'.

Been gone for a while. Glad to see the old timers and their talent are still here. This is becoming an all-too familiar song topic these days. Apart from "I Put a Spell on You", which is mostly an amiright thing, I believe "Yesterday" must be one of the most parodied songs around.
