Phil-another fine parody; I'm sort of astounded at the Beatles songs that I don't know, though. I've realized this because of Amiright; guess I'll have to brush up on Beatles songs.

Yes, so true, so true...my wife works for a scientist who's always whining about this or that allegedly going wrong with his e-mail or the network etc etc etc blah blah blah...when the woman who is responsible for desktop support goes to his office to investigate, she frequently tells my wife that it's probably another case of "user error". There are two types of users you know, at least you don't work in the field where the cops goes after the dealers... ;-)

Also, I recently heard the terms "error 40" (when the problem is located 40 centimeters from the screen) and "Vanilla" (default settings for error 40 users) but you have probably already heard them both.

"Vanilla" is a common expression wrt computers & software generally, but it's the first time I've come across "Error 40"... I like that one :-)

I got a parody idea along the lines of "vanilla" out of this exchange. One of those rare but lovely ideas that almost write themselves over TOL (The Original Lyrics). That said, I've still used these two days to polish it and if it's up tomorrow I will supply an mp3 as listening aid (since it's to an old hit) as quickly as possible after the update.
