The Lyrics

This is a three song trifecta in support of 2nz's LOTR song parody initiative. I'm a closet LOTR weinee myself as I spent a month reading Tolkiens' works in high school
Riders of Rohan, Riders of Rohan
Cast out from our homeland
At behest of Saruman
Theoden's mind is overthrown
So these wasted lands we roam
Riders of Rohan

There are killers at The Helm
Our Deep soon to overwhelm
At dawn of the fifth day
Is when we'll join the fray
Until the morn is nigh
We will slay the Uruk-Hai
Killers at the Helm

Boys, your oaths you must fulfill
Boys, your oaths you must fulfill
It is Theoden's will
Charge on down this hill
We may stop the doom of men
Or ride to the world's end
Oaths must be fulfilled

Riders of Rohan, Riders of Rohan
It's Gondor's doom we scan
Blow up the Morgul plan
Six thousand in our rank, we
Crush the Mordor flank
Riders of Rohan

Riders of Rohan ... Riders of Rohan

(This next tune is a tribute to the ultimate nemesis of the Rohirrim; the giant war elephants of Mordor's ally, Harad -- known in Harad tongue as the Mumakil)

Oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi! oi!

See us rumbling on the horizon
Hear horns of the Haradim
Come to wipe you from the field
If you know what we mean
Archers on the top of us
Crush you with our feet
Don't feel arrows
Don't feel your spear
Filling you with fear
Cause we're MUMAKIL, we're dynamite
(MUMAKIL) And we'll win this fight
(MUMAKIL) We're the Sauron load
(MUMAKIL) Sung of in odes

We're massive, mean, like a death machine
Cause the fall of man
Harad's invincible beasts of war
Understand?
So pack up your horsemen
Pack up your knives
Flee back to Rohan
Run for your life
Oliphaunt's back in town
And Gondor's going down
Cause we're MUMAKIL, we're Harad's pride
(MUMAKIL) And we'll sweep you aside
(MUMAKIL) We're the Sauron load
(MUMAKIL) Squash you like toads

MUMAKIL (oi, oi, oi)
MUMAKIL (oi, oi,oi) ...

(Finally a tribute to the Nazgul, the name for the shrieking ghost riders of the dragon like creatures who so terrorized the soldiers of Gondor)

Nazgul shrieking in the dead of night
Mount those hellish beasts and learn to fly
All your lives
You have just been waiting for the Third War to arise

Nazgul shrieking in the Gondor skies
Oh, those Gondor sons do quail from thee
All your lives
You have just been waiting for the Dark Lord to break free

Nazgul fly, Nazgul fly
Into the mounts of the Gondor knights

Nazgul fly, Nazgul fly
Into the heat of the Mount Doom light

Nazgul shrieking towards the Mount Doom light
Oh, the Dark Lords plans have gone awry
All this time
Halflings have been waiting for this moment to arise
Halflings have been waiting for this moment to arise
Halflings have been waiting for this moment to arise

This is one sing to rule them all - a trilogy of 5s. Love the frequent name checks. Thou knowest thou thy Tolkien. It didn't take long to figure out which songs you were using for the second and third parts, but it might have been a good idea to cite them. May the light of the sacred trees of Valinor shine upon you.

Didn't think I needed to put down the titles. I mean, if you didn't pick up by the fifteenth "oi!" that the OS for the second song was "TNT", then you simply have never heard it before. And the OS for the third song, which is "Blackbird", has a very distinctive structure that can't be mistaken for anything else for any Beatles fan

Hey, I must be good - I figured out what the other two songs were before reading your comment... (it helped that they were songs I actually knew - ha ha). This is a very good job!

Can't believe I missed this a while back. You know if I every get organized on making this an official parody tribute like H2G2, I'm going to demand that you resubmit these separately, and under your proper name, so you can get credit. All great, so many great lines and soooo much Tolkien goodness packed in. Also, I'm happy and honored to have had a hand in inspiring MUMAKIL, and I enjoyed 'Riders' and 'NAZGUL' thoroughly. 'Riders' seemed to have a few pacing mis-steps, but awesome job all around with this kind of depth.
