The Lyrics

My submission for the Decathlon event 2... The OS wasn't one of the Monkees' bigger songs, but still a good psychedelic tune. You can check out the original tune at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEHsJzYrZBg . Groovy, man.
Think I'll make another movie
Even if it bombs, I’ll still be rich
I’ll cast Angelina and Clooney
Then I’ll go, make my pitch

Well, I’m a big director (director of films)
My job’s to oversee, creativity
Yes, I’m a big director (director of films)
I am so grateful, that I can make a sequel

When another script comes by my desk
I hope it’s not, a failure
I’ll add some big budget effects
And show it all, in the trailer

‘Cause I’m a big director (director of films)
I’m hoping I will get, a blockbuster hit
Yes, I’m a big director (director of films)
If it is lacking, then I’ll blame it on the acting

Well, I’m a big director (director of films)
I wonder if I should, be in Hollywood
Yes, I’m a big director (director of films)
I’ll make more money, when it comes out on DVD

Some filmmaker should make a movie for this song as Mel Brooks did with "Springtime for Hitler", but with Jennifer - not Angie. People are sick of her. As for the guys - forget it.

(Dec2) Cute write, not sure that I myself thought of the Monkees as teen pop, but if Matthy accepted it--I won't take that into considreration

Decathlon...I'm a sucker for the Monkees, and had to giggle at how true your subject matter really is...=) Nice work!
