Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

They serve me split pea soup oh please just take it back
No green peas do I want I want them all eyed black
I see the plates get served dressed up with parsley cloves
I have to sit and wait for how long no one knows

I see some peas of green and want them all eyed black
With crackers by the bowl and waiter won't come back
I see people getting served and quickly munch away
As I sit here waiting will I get to eat today?

I take the spoon and stir as if I would see black
I see my waiter pass will he ever come back?
If this place is that crowded can someone give me the facts?
I'd like my order and I'll just leave it at that

With pepper my green sea had turned a darker hue
I had to empty a whole shaker maybe two

I don't like getting too upset at anyone
If this continues I'll leave no tip when bill comes

They served me split pea soup Oh please just take it back
No green peas do I want I want them all eyed black
I see the plates get served dressed up with parsley cloves
I have to sit and wait for how long no one knows

I'm getting u u u u u u u up se e e et (repeat 2x)

I waiting till I'm fainted, peas eyed black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see a plate in front of me, order right
I wanna be served serviced, serviced, serviced, Lamb of Rack
Yeah!

Another RFLMAO!!!! What a Monday - great way to start a wo*k week. Way to rip this morbid OS. Five peas, black-eyed, of course

Thanks TT and alvin. I was going to record this, but some songs I'd like to record sound better just written.

I'm totally with you on the pea hue issue... :-)

Can't imagine why this wouldn't record well :)

Thanks John B, Meriadoc, and Turtle. My first idea on this was simply just the fact that I don't like green peas, but love the black eyed ones. As I was letting the parody write itself I found myself waiting in a restraint. So I changed a few words to fit the os better. I think the biggest problem with it not recording well is I am a temperamental artist.

Ah, memories. You got me thinking about my late grandmothers pea soup she used to make for me back in the 70's. Tasted great to me, but every time I ate a lot of it, even the dog wouldn't go near the bathroom after I used it. It wasn't pretty. OK, too much info already. Good work. 555

I was hoping this was gonna be about Fergie and the boys. Alas, it's about the vegetable. I don't like peas, and my whole family once got sick on black-eyed peas. No joke. But this parody was joke-alicious.
