The Lyrics

The subtitle is to distinguish it from the author's "Crazy Together (Bush and Blair)". OS lyrics here. MIDI here.
Imagine me and you
I do
Both locked up in the loony bin
Insane as sin
We'd get along so very well
Could share a cell
So crazy together!

Though I'm a paranoid
And you're a "schiz" [1]
I think that we should share our lives
It really fits:
Accept each other as we are
And not pick nits
So crazy together!

I can't be deluded with no one but you
For all my life
When you're with me somehow I know we'll pull through
For all our life

Me and you
And you and me
So happy to be sharing our
Insanity
The only "wack" for me is you
And you for me
So crazy together!

I can't be depressive with no one but you
For all our life
You and me: agressive? No, loving, we two
For all our life

Me and you
Can marry 'em:
Nurse Ratched, or the head of san- [2]
-Itarium
Like skipper, ship; float in our own
Aquarium
So crazy together!

D'oh, doh, doh, d'oh, doh, doh, d'oh, doh, doh, d'oh, doh, d'oh, doh, doh, doh!
D'oh, doh, doh, d'oh, doh, doh, d'oh, doh, doh, d'oh, doh, d'oh, doh, doh, doh!

Me and you
And you and me
No matter: dope us high as hell,
It has to be
Two nuts as one inside a shell
Are you for me
So crazy together!

So crazy together!
Strait jack-et: leather
So crazy together
Mind: hazy, together
Bi-phase-y, together [3]
Crazy together
Pick daisy, together
So crazy together

D'oh, doh, doh...
(lights fade, but someone's home)

Only 2 personalities? I would have pegged you for at least 3. I have twice that many ourselves. :-) 555

555 mg of Turtlezine, TT ... If insane people wear straitjackets, does that mean sane people wear gaijackets?
Adagio - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
I'm trying to get an image of a turtle to u...but can find no way.
Stephen Harrington - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
555, very good.

Really good lines, rhymes, and overall writing...555

"HIGH" 5's, TT. Love parodies about whackos, being certifiable my self. Luckily I can self-medicate. This is similar to, but much better than, my Paul Simon parody..."Still crazy despite all these pills". I loved the Nurse Rached line, among others. Cuckoo's Nest is one of my all-time favorite movies...Jack's best work, IMO.

Enjoyed this! Even though I'm not crazy. Really. WHAT WAS THAT?! Oh, it was nothing, heh heh...where was I? Oh yes, not crazy at all -- AAARGH! GET OFF ME! I have to go now, the movie stars are coming out of the posters again.

Royce. alvin :), thanks...Rick C, thanks; we can't count high enough to know... Johnny D, ("Turtlezine" LOL) Gibraltar ego says thanks... Adagio, thanks... working on a website, pics, and bio as time permits, but hate to steal time from AIR... Stephen, AFW, thanks... Dee Range the Role Model, thanks and sympathy; I'm perfectly sane myself, and so is the turtle who dictates this stuff to me... (Oedipus) Rex, thanks...
Everyone, neither Tommy nor I can really take credit for this parody; we just listened to the Rice Krispies one day, and there it was.
Adagio - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
TT...ok, but what did u mean by your comment? oh...nm
Adagio - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
Good parody. I meant that I still didn't understand about your comment, but nm...doesn't matter.
Michael Pacholek - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
I really liked this one. Johnny: Did you think that joke up yourself, or did you swipe it from George Carlin?
Mike Pacholek - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
I also liked this one a lot. Although I'm wondering if it was written about Arwen and me. I wonder: If a person with split-personality disorder marries, is he/she an adulterer, or a bigamist, or something else?
TT - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
Adagio.... You were "trying to get an image of a turtle to me"... thought you meant either 1) Send me a turtle pic, or 2) Picture me as a turtle. ..... If I create the website and put pics on it, it takes care of either wish. What did you mean?
Michael Pacholek, thanks... Mike Pacholek, thanks; your thoughts are called "ideas of reference" :)

Before leaving the sight of this site for the night: Red Ant, if you see this, you might find it interesting to compare this parody to the song cited and linked in the intro, as to whether your suggestions to the n00b there made a notable difference in this later version. I took those suggestions to heart and have tried to incorporate them since.
Stuart McArthur - April 12, 2006 - Report this comment
Beautifully written - "two nuts as one inside a shell" would be a good ad for our local peanut industry, TT - and I liked "sanitarium" - 555

Gotta like wacky parodies. 555

Part of me loved this. Part of me didn't. And the other part, well, is thinking 'bout nachos. Mmm, nachos. I HATE nachos. Well... 555

The first one you said... a turtle pic to u...I can't put it in PMs anyway..you could just see it of a thread I started on inthe00's. the first set of questions. That way it takes nobody's air, I guess, whatever that is.
TT - April 13, 2006 - Report this comment
Stuart McArthur, Larry Hensley, YAD, thanks...
Adagio, please remember that you're dealing with a very slow Tortoise, with brain the size of a pea... I only now figured out PM = Penguine Message (board)??? I tried a search there: too many possibilites; could you just copy the URL of it right here, for Reo-tardo Da Grinch-y, here?
Adagio - April 13, 2006 - Report this comment
No, Tommy. : ) We're limited to paragraph breaks and bold lettering here, but I did figure out, with CG's help, how to put a picture into PRIVATE MESSAGES. : D : D
TT - April 14, 2006 - Report this comment
I'm not a member there yet... You can put raw URLs here (not hyperlinks); if they're inside AIR, the spam-police leave it alone.
Adagio - April 15, 2006 - Report this comment
What is this AIR you keep talking about?

And here.....http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php/topic,18662.0.html

Tommy LOVED his pic!! :D He's usually much more laid back then that, so I didn't have one with that triumphal look. May I copy and save? May I post or link if and when I ever get TT's website up -- IF I ever get these @#$%&*&%$#@ taxes done!?!?

(Whew!) Glad finally to have gotten to the pic .... AIR = Am
I
Right.

I have tried using "AIRheads" for those of us who participate on this site, but it didn't go over too well. Maybe others also didn't get the acronym and thought it was an insult (it's a parody of the insult), but what do you expect from a pea-brained reptile who stretches puns as though he were Spiderpun??
Thanks, Adagio, for all your trouble... It was worth it to Tommy and me... hope it was good for you, too. :) :) :)
Adagio - April 15, 2006 - Report this comment
Tommy , : D Glad you liked it. As far as I'm concerned you can copy and save. It was sent to me in e-mail and I really don't know where they got it.. I like that part acronym...AIRhead. That, to me, wouldn't be an insult...we all get to work our airheadedness out here on amiright and then hopefully go to the 'real' world without being an airhead. And if you made sense out of that sentence....
TT - April 17, 2006 - Report this comment
Adagio, your sentence made perfect sense to me.... guess that means I really am wack, huh??? Thanks.... feel free to use the acronym.
Red Ant - April 18, 2006 - Report this comment
We're finally here TT! Both of us (me too!) - make that the three of us like this parody. We all agree (I don't (shut up!)) this is better than your first parody of this song. 3s, no 1s, no 5s - all 5s

If that was totally confusing, that's because I'm keeping in character with a parody I did of this OS when I first arrived, on a similar subject:

http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/theturtles16.shtml

My advice to you was so you wouldn't make the same mistakes as I did with my parody, which was the 3rd one I submitted. It is pretty badly paced, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

BTW, not even the Tutor definitively knows the plural of chorus? ;-)
TT - April 18, 2006 - Report this comment
Red Ant, Red Ant, and Red Ant, three thanks... yes, I understood your comment perfectly, so that means we're six of a kind.
br>It's almost embarassing that the idea here is so much like your earlier work... warped minds think alike... I enjoyed your song's content, and the pacing of your recent works definitely shows huge growth since then. I thought your advice on my first OS parody was a little nit-picking at the time, but I really like the product better since I accepted that advice. Thanks for trying to help all other n00bs shorten the learning curve.

The "chori" joke was another at my own expense, on the whole "grammar geek - Latin plurals" that I'm always anal-ing about. You know, the kind of thing you and Stu ragged me about ("copulas"-"copulae") at his "My Name Is Tommy..."
