The Lyrics

Divine (born Harris Glen Milstead) met director John Waters at high school in Baltimore. Notorious for the dog-defecation-dining scene in Waters' 1972 "Pink Flamingos." Waters' early films were shot in Baltimore. Milstead's health deteriorated due to his obesity, and he died in his sleep from a combination of heart attack and apnea in 1988. Baltimore-born Barry Levinson's first feature was the Baltimore-based "Diner" (1983).
Waste din she'd dig in, outright outré,
Her hair wigged in a fright-bouffant way,
A showgirl, although a tad porcine.*
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine).

There's one scene involving Bowser,
Where she's a Chow-Chow output chowser,
On dog doo in "Flamingos" she'd dine.
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine),
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine).

Frame of mind? Who knows, but a frame of swine
Main cause of her demise; dame was of super size.
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine),
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine).

She and John Waters were kindred spirits,
Baltimore's bad bays, they made it clear it's
Not ' bout Barry's Baltimore boys who dine.
Waters is fine (Waters is fine),
Gagged did Divine (gagged did Divine).

If you find that you're getting too porcine,
Might refine how you dine, reflecting on Divine.
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine),
Drag queen Divine (drag queen Divine).
