The Lyrics

Are you ready for the Super Bowl ( ADS )....
Super Bowl Ads, gonna entertain us
Vying for the claim
Of #1 fame
All throughout the football game

I can’t believe the Big Day is here
It’s time to veg out with the TV
As I sit and watch with a cold beer
And see what the results will be
The Packers/ Steelers are about to hit the field
( About to hit the field )
Suddenly there is no doubt
( And suddenly can’t wait to see )
With all the build up they did give
Can’t wait for the first time out

Tonight the
Super Bowl Ads, gonna entertain me
Vying for the claim
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
Of #1 Fame
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
All throughout the football game
Tonight the
Super Bowl Ads, They cost a pretty penny
Which will make us laugh
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
And during which half?
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
And which ones will just look like crap

Will there be one with a cute monkey?
Or one with that funny Old Spice Guy
I hope E Trade will show more clever babies
Little kids are always funny in my eyes
( Little kids are always funny in my eyes )
I just can’t wait for the first commercial break
( The first commercial break )
I know it will make my night
( Fresh batteries in my remote )
Who will be this year’s favorite star
Like last year and Betty White

Tonight the
Super Bowl Ads, gonna entertain me
Vying for the claim
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
Of #1 Fame
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
All throughout the football game
Tonight the
Super Bowl Ads, They cost a pretty penny
Which will make us laugh
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
And during which half?
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
And which ones will just look like crap

So we just sit through this football hype
To see which commericals we really like
And when they show the final score
We will look at
Which ads raised the roof and which ads fell flat

Tonight the
Super Bowl Ads, gonna entertain me
Vying for the claim
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
Of #1 Fame
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
All throughout the football game
Tonight the
Super Bowl Ads, They cost a pretty penny
Which will make us laugh
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
And during which half?
( Sup-p-per Bowl-ad-ads )
And which ones will just look like crap

[repeat and fade]

Dan - You anticipated correctly. The ads as a whole measured up to this fine predicting parody. ;D

I'm advertising a big 555 on this parody link. Great job, Dan. It really puts the big exclamation point on the comercialism of the Super Bowl *(Brought to you by......LOL)

Would really like to see variation in the choruses vs. copy/paste. It's a long song, true, but so is "Take A Chance On Me", and, for that matter, APie, Supercal, etc. ... and most of us look at that as an opportunity to create or receive more laughs, and display more creativity.

One of the few ABBA songs I DK, so will trust my four friends above on the pacing. 555 on this one, but vary the next? (The issue has been long discussed on this site --- ref's available.)

btw, "Take A Chance" could work, too (follow-up idea?) :
"Three Mil' Spent: TV" (the ads were $3 million each.)

You have got to sign
On the dotted line
Not *one* million; *three*
To get on TV

This writer has been waay over-plugged today, so no link, but in the unlikely event that you're interested in his spins on "Chance", you probably know where to find them. ;-D
