Parody Song Title:

"Joe's Out!"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

An ABBA song from the classic Waterloo album that has never before been used on Amiright AND a parody idea of the kind that almost writes itself over it in one go - you bet it's time for a short summer comeback write from yours truly!

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here.
Joe moved like he's always tired
The wall was all full of writing
Then he said "I must retire"
And Nancy said "That's a wise thing"

You bet that Joe's out!
I said you bet that Joe's out!
Joe's out!
After all the lies they told, so
Joe's out!
He won't have a White House term 2

Cos he failed at debating
It was borderline crazy
And he's down in the ratings
So you bet that Joe's out!
I said you bet that Joe's out!

It's been gaffes too many lately
And calls to his doctor's pager
I think he's in bed by eight-y
With Jill as his diaper changer

You bet that Joe's out!
Oh, I said you bet that Joe's out!
Joe's out!
After all the lies they told, so
Joe's out!
He won't have a White House term 2

As his mind was degrading
Yet his sniffing stayed racy
Though his balance kept fading
So you bet that Joe's out!
Yes, I said you bet that Joe's out!
Joe's out!
Joe's out!

Nancy's insider trading
Won't be pushing the daisies
With Kamala in waiting
I said you bet that Joe's out!
I said you bet that Joe's out!
You bet that Joe's out!
You bet that Joe's out!

You could have used Alice Cooper's "School's Out" as well ... Joe's out this .. SUMMER!

@CML, nothing wrong with trying to parody songs that haven't been used on this site. I've done my fair share of that (I'm still the only one to ever submit a parody of a Kim Mitchell song) and my last few Tragically Hip parodies (one of which about Biden) have also been first timers. As for this parody, K1chyd you did very well.

I liked this. Given I’m one of the authors that’s submits every day like bobpiecheese, it’s only worthwhile I leave a comment.

@CLM: In retrospect Alice Cooper would have been the obvious choice. I came to ABBA here from another angle, they have a very summery song on the Waterloo album called "Sitting In A Palmtree" and with supporters of the Kamala campaign running some sort of global coconut meme spread I came up with the loose idea of doing something with that one, before ending up going with "Watch Out" instead.

@G_RandomPerson: Strangely enough I've never heard of Kim Mitchell, but thanks!

Duc4AmIRight: Thanks!

Michael Pacholek: Obviously! ;-P
