My father is an engineer and knows a song or two
My mother likes to sing along, she's actu-ally good
We're quite a music family, my brother plays guitar
He always took it with him when we sailed near or far
And evenings in the islands, they were spent on sing-along
When I grew up I he taught me play, accompany a song
Now nice girls play piano, but I had other plans:
I wanted to play rock and roll and bass in four girl band!

I went to study in HUT and four-string I had bought
I met there with three other gals who company had sought
We set soon up a rocking band and wanted to have fun
We practised in the evenings and all weekends too were done
We studied hard and play-ed hard and shared our hearts and minds
I learned to write the poetry and lyrics I designed
We played at students' parties, we played rock songs of this land -
I got my chance in rock and roll and bass in four girl band!

Now college is supposed to be the best years of your life
I studied, I played D&D and I learned how to fly
But when the day was over, I put that Squier on my hand
(and) You found me at the basement playing bass in four girl band!

Now years passed by, I graduated, got myself a man
We girls too parted our ways, we moved across the land
I got me job, I got career and children of my own
I love the sea and music and I like to write a song
and one day I found Am-I-Right and writing parodies
It's that the way I keep my love on words and melodies
Now how about my daughter? Maybe she has her own plans -
She will be playing rock and roll and bass in four girl band!
