No, it wasn't funny at all. However, I did give it a 5 for the overall score because of its content. My, how quickly we had forgotten September 11. As Pat Carrasco, this truely is something to remember.

Thanks Birgitta. This was one of my more profound parodies. I love doing parodies to this song. I've done at least two. Probably do more in the future. I was only writing out here about a week when I wrote this one.
BTW, my Spanish isn't that good either. I have a Tex-Mex flavor to mine and I like to use the local flavor of the language in a lot of my parodies. Tex-Mex is not quite Spanish with a bit of English I guess, sort of like Spanglish. One of my favorite things to use is the term "Cool Arrow" LOL.

Humour was a little lacking, but the rest proved to be very cool. Good job.
RIght you are STG, but I think it would be in extremely bad taste to make any humor of that day. I wrote this as a tribute to all the heros of that very tragic day. Just simply substitute "how profound" for the "how funny" voting category since the voting categories only allow for humor ratings. I do this on all profound and serious parodies that I vote on.

Guy - Well done. I'm scoring it 5-4-5. I would have straight "5"'d it using "emotional depth" in place of "Funny" but where the situation stands in Iraq/Afghanistan now is a constant reminder of what a half-assed job the current leadership here has done in planning and implementing any sort of satisfactory "end-game". I can barely stand to read about it anymore.

I'm kinda stuck on the definition of parody as imitation for comic effect, so I don't appreciate parodies as much when they deal with serious topics in a serious manner. But I also appreciate your passion with this, GD'R. And your prolificness is amazing.
Spaff - Thank you so much. I had my reasons for choosing this song and believe me they weren't to win the tournament. I hope as a kind of sidebar issue to the tournament that this song offered some diversity to the tournament with it's serious nature. It was just one of the first few songs that I wrote on this site and I thought it deserved another exposure. I do not consider this a politcal parody, and I'm not saying that anyone has called it that. We must always remember what happened on that Tuesday morning and how it has gotten us to where we are now.
