Parody Song Title:

"Imaginary Feline"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

something my dog might be thinking....
Imaginary felines
Never let me down
When there are no gophers to chase
They're around

It's my own delusion
So I won't be bored
Running around
Here in my fenced-in backyard

Imaginary feline
Did I hear a meow?
Imaginary feline

When there ain't nothin stirrin'
And boredom's what I feel
Conjuring up a cat
Can be such a thrill

A phantom feline's unreal
Imaginary feline
Imaginary feline
You're mine, all the time

Imaginary felines
Never hiss and moan
They strut around, or sit on the fence
When you need
"Catisfaction guaranteed"

Imaginary feline
You're mine anytime
My imaginary feline

Actually, this had a "personal" meaning for me....I had an English teacher in Jr. High. She was "normal" then (or so we thought), but then my nephew and the son of my best friend also had her for an English teacher, years later, and she was telling the kids how she has invisible cats who talk to her. At first I thought it was a joke, but these kids say she is SERIOUS. I asked them how she could keep a job if she is so delusional, but apparently, the school doesn't see a problem. So, due to this little story, I found a lot of humor in the song!
