The Lyrics

Conflicts,
Seems they're always going on
Awful soldier killing conflicts
From The Way We War..
After D-Day,
We thought all the wars were gone
Life was innocent and carefree
Swore there'd be no more..

All too soon, there was Korea, Viet Nam
Then, Iraq..and then, Iraq again..
If there'd be a chance
For peace to come at last
Wonder, would it? Could it?

Conflicts,
Guess they're never gonna' end..
A white dove is just a mirage
In some blue sky of pretend..
So, it's the good times
We must remember..
Forget each dark December
(And) The Way We War
..The Way We War

I am a supporter of neutrality in the US (same as Switzerland and Sweden), but I still enjoyed this song. DKTOS, but still enjoyable, even for someone who disapproves of war like me.

Excellent concept and writing, 555

Excellent, poingant and funny! I keep picturing Priscilla Presley singing the OS in "Naked Gun 2."

As per comment to Guy, this'll continue until we change politicians, and mostly policy. George Washington's Farewell Address and Andria have the right idea. They don't listen to GW; maybe they'll listen to Andria?

As the only 08 POTUS candidate who voted against the 2002 Iraq War Resolution, I might like to use this song in my campaign. Contact me at www.ronpaul2008.com/.

I will keep my views on thr politics of this subject to myself. I can elaborate only that when I was in uniform, I gave my time to my country and then some. I went where I was told, when I was told and did what was expected of me during times of war and during times of peace. I will say that I don't like terrorists trying to blackmail us and I am still in a position that supports action against those that would try to take our freedoms and dictate our life styles. How I feel on the subject is not relevant. What is relevant to me is how well I do my job. I have sworn an oath to support whatever administration is in power. If I don't like it I can always get another job that doesn't require the taking of an oath. I don't have to like or dislike what is going on to be effective at what I do. Fine parody AFW. You are herby promoted to the rank of 5 star general. Now go whip some a$$! HA! My security code for this comment is B2B.

Maybe the politicos will listen to me if I lecture them about how Switzerland and Sweden have active manufacturing industries making quality products, are well-liked, have healthy and educated citizens and are not generally targeted by those who practice radical Islam. In short, I would con the U.S. into joining forces with Canada and then work our way into the European Union. My security code was USA. No kidding.

Andria, are you running for President?...sounds like a compaign speech. You're evidently, very much in touch with what's going on in the world.....Didn't you say you were twenty seven? Most ladies your age wouldn't even know who our vice president is...quite commendable..are you a teacher?
Andria - October 30, 2007 - Report this comment
AFW, I am not running for president. Everyone does say that I am in touch with what goes on in the world, but that's because I watch the news constantly. Our vice president is Dick Cheney, and, no, I'm not a teacher. I don't work. I work for the Tripp County Public Schools as a guidance counselor, but I'm not a teacher. You came close.

I was trying to sing this to the tune of Gogi Grant's "The Wayward Wind" (a real oldie), but AFW's original intent works better. I hate BS (Barbara Straisand as well as bullsh*t), but I will give AFW 5s.
