The Lyrics

This goes out to those who love football and love to party .......In the Milwaukee area, there is a group of people that sing at the V.A. called the Care-aoke crew...usually once a month during the day..A group of mostly retired military men and women in wheelchairs that let us put on a show for them...I was very honored to be asked to be a part of that and have been with them for five years now....There are a variety of fine singing talents entertain them in the short few hours we have They put their hearts into every show ,to show their appreciation ...I will usually do a new parody or two and bring plenty of props for skits and dress for part(and act like a nut). The guys love the Pack but there are a few Bear fans too (go figure) God bless 'em
Green Bay jersey's flying off the shelves
Better hurry, grab some number 12's
Packer fans depleting their billfolds
All for one design - Green and Gold

One day sale at my Shopko
A rich man waited 'til they opened their doors
In ten minutes he had shopped himself poor
I spent my last dime - Green and Gold

My team for all time's Green and Gold
Yeah, I'm a Cheesehead down to my toes
Championships and glory days of old
I'm sure glad I'm Green and Gold

Fresh painted * G * on my Durango
Prepare to party , Title-Town and Lambeau
I'm gonna rave all day , right from the get-go
With old pals of mine, Freezin' Cold !

We like to revel, like to grease the gills
Get satisfaction from 'r barbeque skills
Season tickets, no more to behold
We'll wait a long time, reasons told

My team for all time's Green and Gold
Yeah, I'm a Cheesehead down to my toes
Aint gonna miss me rollin' down the road
Car flag's a' flyin' Green and Gold

My team for all time's Green and Gold
Yeah, I'm a Cheesehead down to my toes
Sometimes St.Vince is seen at Superbowls
His Halo shines Green and Gold

My team for all time's Green and Gold
Yeah, I'm a Cheesehead down to my toes
I get my kicks from shoutin' - GO PACK GO !
And waving signs Green and Gold

My team for all time's Green and Gold
Yeah I'm a Cheesehead down to my toes
I'm lovin' this, no doubt that I've been sold
Football's devine - Green and Gold

My team for all time's Green and Gold
Yeah, I'm a Cheesehead down to my toes
Now I guess that ev'ry body knows
My state of mind's Green and Gold

MY TEAM FOR ALL TIME'S GREEN AND GOLD
I changed the ending choruses a little bit,but it can be sung using just the first only.....It makes it easier to sing along with and if you're gonna try to sing it by heart

My dad was an avid football fan who was born and raised in Milwaukee, yet, had absolutely no loyalty to the Packers whatsoever (Not!!) ... The very first game I ever saw was the first Super Bowl; dad forced me to watch because his favorite team, The Kansas City Chiefs, was playing (Not!!); which is why Dad had no reaction when Max McGee made an amazing catch to score the first touchdown in Super Bowl history (Not!) And I have vague memories of a title game vs Dallas played the next year in Green Bay, which, due to lack of offense in the second half, had Dad bored to death. (Not!) He even turned the game off with seven minutes left to go, saying, "There's no way Green Bay is going to win; why even bother watching"

It is very rare that I agree with Michael Pacholek, but I have to concur that this is better than a Brett Favre.

Lennie - My dad took me with him twice to the Milwaukee games. It was in the early Sixtys. I was too young to know what the hell was going on but I do remember that I ate a lot of hot dogs and had my fill of soda and Cracker Jack....I thought I was pretty lucky to go and hang out with the adults....AFW - I admire the way you write everything....I myself think that this was a little corny...But thank you all the same.......Michael , I know you just don't hand out Paul Hornung's number for anything. ..I love the way you comment...thanks.......John - I must have caught everybody on a good day....Thank you also
