The Lyrics

Who listens to this song?
You know this song is meant to gag
Recycled words that ain't too clever
And I need a paper bag
From the sound of every sappy line
Songs that blow, by old Chicago
No worse one you will find
On a chart, in a poll

What's the meaning of this tripe?
It's regurgitation
It brings nausea from the hype
It's regurgitation

Wanna Pepto-Bismal
I wanna stop my gut from swayin'
No one needs this crap on the airwaves
And I know, yes I know that that it's pain to me
It's so inane and like bad weather
"And I know" starts every line that I see
From the sound of every sappy line
Songs that blow, by old Chicago
It really numbs the mind
It's not art, takes a toll

What's the meaning of this crap?
It's regurgitation
It brings nausea from the sap
It's regurgitation

Wanna have Tums near me
I wanna have no hearing, strayin'
No one needs this song need enemas

Your pacing is perfect. However, your lyrics are so angry. I totally like Chicago's ballads, unlike most ballads of other bands. You should have worked on this better. If you want to write satire on Chicago, you require a forked tongue. All you've done today is spit acid all over the place. Which IS regurgitation.

For many years, I have always thought that Chicago's first three albums were their best. After reading this parody, my opinion still stands. The group started declining when Cetera took more of a leading role

I think you're entitled to your opinion and some 5's.

Great job, Ricky! 5,5,5 for you! But uhm... the second word of this 80's song is "the" not "my"...other than that everything's just fine.

Great lyrics! Your lyrics hit the nail on the head! Hey, if I gave you full credit for writing the lyrics, would you mind if I recorded this? It would make for a hilarious recording!
